About R. David Wentz
When R. David founded Tax Favored Benefits in 1979, he was looking to create a financial organization that differed from competitors, meaning one that was based on experience, education and a true dedication to service. At the core of Tax Favored Benefits’ business philosophy is utilizing products that reduce taxes in some fashion—a caveat clients appreciate, as every hard-earned dollar counts. As a professional with 45+ years of experience, R. David’s expertise lies in designing and implementing retirement and wealth management plans. He is competitive, compassionate and hardworking, and finds satisfaction witnessing his clients reach their retirement goals and seeing how it makes a difference in their lives.
Even after decades in the industry, R. David remains committed to total service and availability. He is seeing clients he started working with 40 years ago begin to retire and have enough income to live off of and/or provide for their families in the case of their passing.
R. David is a registered representative and holds his Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations with Ameritas Investment Company, LLC. He is involved in various financial organizations and is member of the Johnson/Wyandotte Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (also a past President), a member of the Kansas City Estate Planning Society, a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the past President of the Eastern Kansas Estate Planning Council. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law and is proud to be the recipient of the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations from the American College.
Outside of the office, R. David loves spending time with his wife, Barbara, and his children, Audrey and David who he shares with his now-deceased wife, Ann. He also takes every opportunity he gets to gather as a family and watch his grandchildren participate in their various activities.
