About Josh Selzer

Helping individuals prepare and plan for their future is a journey Josh is passionate about. He finds joy and purpose in the relationships that develop from working with his friends and clients. For the last 22+ years, he’s been designing financial strategies that encompass tax-efficient investing, estate planning and risk management.

Josh upholds to always do right by clients, demonstrating this by bringing common-sense clarity to complex decisions for them. He’s passionate and not scared to dive in and see where it takes him as he figures out a course of action. He acts as a guide, looking at various angles, including taxes, opportunity costs and risks, when considering personal investment choices. Josh finds plans that require technical expertise intellectually stimulating, approaching each one with gusto and is laser-focused on uncovering strategies to solve the issue.

He enjoys helping institutions, business owners, families and professionals plan for the future, encouraging them to work toward financial independence so they can retire with confidence or pass along wealth to their loved ones. Josh’s proudest moments and happiest days are celebrating important milestones for his friends and clients. His diversified background in investment management, tax planning and financial planning makes him an invaluable resource to his clients.

He is a graduate from the University of Kansas School of Law and passed the Missouri Bar in 1998. Josh holds his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations and is a registered representative with Ameritas Investment Company, LLC. He has been a faculty member at the University of Kansas and professor of applied portfolio management investment.

When he’s not in the office, Josh loves spending time with his wife, Karin, their three sons Carter, Wilson and Luke, and their two daughters, Ava and Genevieve. He also enjoys connecting with others and hearing their stories—what makes them tick and their approach to life. Golf is also on his list of favorite activities.
